Introduction to Belly Breathing. In this meditation you will practice deep and rhythmic breathing exercises to help you stay calm and focused. In Belly Breathing, you consciously carry the breath all the way down to your belly rather than limiting airflow to the chest. Often in our daily lives, we take short, shallow breaths. These breathing exercises change our inhalation and exhalation patterns which helps to destress the body and divert attention away from thoughts.
